ABOUT DR. KELLER

Fellow American College of Surgeons LogoDr. Michael P. Keller received his medical degree from the Ohio State University in 1982. He completed a residency in general surgery at the United States Air Force Medical Center at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi in 1987 and completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri in 1992. Dr. Keller is certified by the American Board of Surgery in both general surgery and vascular surgery.

Dr. Keller is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, the Society for Vascular Ultrasound, and the International Society of Endovascular Specialists.

Dr. Keller has served the Las Cruces community and southern New Mexico since 2002. He has taken an active role in leadership in the Las Cruces medical community. Dr. Keller has served on the credentials committee at Memorial Medical Center and currently serves as the medical director of the vascular laboratory. At Mountain View Regional medical Center, Dr. Keller has served on the medical executive committee as the Secretary/ Treasurer, Vice Chief of Staff and most recently as the Chief of Staff. In addition, Dr. Keller serves as the Secretary of the Dona Ana County Medical Society.

Peripheral arterial disease (PAD)

-blocked arteries caused by plaque buildup or other disease processes

-abnormal enlargement of the aorta or other arteries in the neck, abdomen, or extremities

-blockage in the arteries in the neck, most commonly caused by plaque buildup

-enlarged, unsightly, or painful veins in the legs. Many times these can be treated in the office with injections or laser surgery

-providing the means for patients with kidney failure to receive dialysis treatments
